Having opened early this year, Farmyard is a new kid on the block, but the restaurant, which aims to showcase fine dining flavours in a more laid back environment, already has a reputation for good food.
We headed down during Norfolk Restaurant Week 2017, during which the restaurant had a set menu that featured all the season’s hits, including a salmon dish with a zingy yuzu sauce (see photos below!) that set the tone for the meal: familiar elements with a couple of surprises to shake things up.
Although people often put Farmyard at the fancier end of Norwich’s food scene, food prices aren’t really beyond what you’d find in many other places around the city, and for the nosier clientele (that’s us!), you can get a glimpse of dishes being prepared in the kitchen.
The restaurant has also started doing dementia-friendly lunches, the next of which is set to take place on February 22, 2018.
