It’d be easy to fall in love with Timberhill Bakery on the strength of those big windows, minimalist Scandi-style interior, and organic coffee alone: but none of that is what the bakery is really about.
With a focus on ancient grains, and eschewing all things additive, the bakery’s mission is bringing back sourdoughs, the likes of which we’ve been eating for thousands of years.
Naturally, its menu centres around the breads for which it’s known, with a range of tartines and a plethora of toasties featuring locally sourced meats, as well as vegetarian and vegan options.
There’s plenty for the sweet tooth too, thanks to a counter of beautifully assembled cakes and organic hot chocolate.
